![]() League News 3/13/26 2024 playoffs are complete. Mobile Homes are the league champions, outlasting the Syracuse Spider Monkeys in a series that went all 7 games and saw the home team win each game.3/13/26 NL series: The Homes and Cuckoos met in the opening round, with the Homes handling The Western State team easily, winning 4-0. Although the final two games in the series went to extra innings, the Homes winning 6-4 in each game. The other matchup had the Knights and Bridgekeepers squaring off, with the Knights prevailing 4 games to one. The Knights and Homes then met in the NL championship. they traded wins in the first 4 games, then the Homes took a 3 games to 2 lead in game 5 behind Zach Wheeler's 7 shutout innings. The Knights came back in thrilling fashion in Game 6. In the bottom of the 9th, the Knights were down 4-3 with Joe Jimenez on the mound. He got Mark Vientos to ground out for the first out and then Luis Arraez pinch hit and was safe at first on a fielding error by Jurickson Profar (maybe he was thinking about the drug test he had to take). Lars Nootbar followed with a 2 run homer, to the delight of the Alwayzyyna crowd. Game 7 was not so exciting, with the Homes scoring early often on the Knights staff to a 11-5 win, propelling them to the World Series.6/6/25 AL series: Defending champions Rightwings faced the surprising NY Bombers in round one. After 4 games, the series was tied 2-2, but the 'wings won the next two to advance to the league championship series. The other matchup had the Spider Monkeys face another surprise team, the Harvey Wallbangers. Harvey's team tied the series at 2 when they won in extra innings. Mikhael Garcia grounded a single through the drawn in infield, scoring Vlad Guerrero. The Spider monkeys won game 5, but the Wallbangers forced a game 7 behind Bryce Miller's 7 shutout innings. The Cinderella story ended in game 7 with Luis Castillo getting rocked and the Syracuse team cruising to a 7-4 victory. In the Championship matchup, the Spider Monkeys won 3 straight and looked to cruise to the WS. The Rightwing offense managed only 4 total runs in those 3 games. They came back to win the next 2 games but their chances at going back to back ended in game 6. Down 6-4 in the 9th, the Rightwings got to closer Munoz with Jazz Chisholm hitting a 2 run homer. The game went to extra innings and ended when Cedanee Rafaela singled home Salvador perez.6/6/25 World series: Homes vs Spider Monkeys. Game 1: Jack Flaherty got hit early and the Homes cruised to a 6-2 victory. Game 2: Same story, different pitcher. The homes got to Bryan Bello in the 5th and Zach Wheeler held the monkeys to 2 runs to help the Homes take a 2-0 lead in the series. The series now shifts to Syracuse and everything changes for the Spider Monkeys. They jumped on Eric Fedde in game 3 and Grayson Rodriguez gos 5 and a third to get them back in the series. They tagged Zac Gallen for 3 runs in the first and went on to win game 4, 4-1, tying the series at 2 a piece. In game 5, it was more of the same as they jumped on Ryan Weathers to take an early lead in route to a 5-1 victory and a 3-2 series lead. the Series now goes back to Mobile and the Homes call on Zach Wheeler to keep their Championship hopes alive. He delivers big time, tossing 9 innings of 2 run ball. Game 7 was a nailbiter as we have Grayson Rodriguez facing Eric Fedde. We are scoreless as we head to the 5th inning. After hitting Zach Neto with a pitch, Fedde gets the next three batters to pop out. In the bottom of the 5th Gray-rod gets the first two batters out, then walks Lindor. Ryne Stanek is brought in to face Ketel Marte, and he responds by tripling to left center, scoring Lindor. Fedde pitches 2 more shutout innings and then gives way to bullpen. Fedde ends the day giving up just one hit, a single to Ohoppe, who was erased trying to stretch it into a double. Relievers Jason Adam and Joe Jimenez shut out the Spider Monkeys and the 8th and 9th innings, sealing the championship for the Mobile Homes.6/6/25 2024 season of LTKM, Months 1 and 2 complete.6/6/25 2023 season of LTKM is complete. The Detroit Rightwings are World Series champions, taking home their first LTKM championship trophy. They bested the ND Squazez 4-2 in the finals. Here's how everything went down.6/6/25 League semifinals In the AL, we have the Daze facing the Filter Kings while the rightwings square off against the Spider Monkeys. The Daze continued their regular season success by rolling over the kings in 4 straight. The Rightwings topped the Spider Monkeys in 5 games. In the NL we have the Knights (best record in baseball), against the Langurs and the Knights kept rolling, winning in 4. The other series saw the Homes face the Squazez This was a more competitive series, going 7 games. It was back and forth the whole time. The pivotal game was game 6. With a chance to go the World Series, the Homes had a favorable pitching matchup with Spencer Strider against Wade Miley. But there was a lot of scoring in this one and it ended up tied 6-6 at the end of 9 innings. After a scoreless 9th, each team scored 1 run in the 11th, 12th and 13th innings. The Homes scored in the top of the 14th inning but the Squazez plated 2 to secure the victory. The Squazez then cruised to a 10-4 victory over the clearly demoralized Homes squad to advance to the NL finals.6/6/25 League Finals AL finals has the top two teams battling for a spot in the World Series, the Daze and the Rightwings. The 'wings took the first two games before the Daze battled back to shut them out 5-0 in game three behind Gerrit Cole. The Rightwings took 2 of the next three to secure their first trip to the LTM World Series. In the NL finals we have the Squazez facing the powerhouse Knights team. They traded victories and were 2-2 going into game 5, where the Squazez won 5-3. Game 6 was a thrilling pitchers duel. The Knights managed just one hit off of Steele, Harvey and Romero. The Squazez got a run in the 5th and that was all they would need to advance. So the WS is set with the upstart Squazez against the Rightwings.6/6/25 World Series Game 1 The Squazez explode for 6 runs in the 2nd inning off Mike Clevinger and hold off a late rally to win 8-6. Game 2 was a nail biter. The wings tied it by scoring off of Diaz in the bottom of the 9th to send it into extra innings. They finally won and tied the series, when Kimbrell made a costly error that led to 2 runs. So we head to North Dakota with the series tied 1-1. Game 3 Close game and the Squazez tie it in the 8th, only to see the Rightwings come back in the 9th and score 3 off of Romero. Fairbanks stays in the game to shut them down in the 9th after blowing it in the 8th. Game 4. The Rightwings score early and often off of Justin Steele and cruise to a 9-1 victory, one win away from being WS champs. Game 5 Wade Miley had other ideas and dominated the 'wings for 6 innings, giving up 1 hit and no runs. Meanwhile the Squazez offense got going and they won easily, 6-0. Game 6 has Merrill Kelly of the Squazez facing George Kirby of the Rightwings. The Squazez got to Kirby quickly, scoring 3 in the first behind a 3 run HR from J Candelario. Bryson Stott would homer off of Kirby in the 4th, making it 4-1 Squazez. the rightwings battled back right away, scoring 2 in the bottom of the 4th and 5th innings to take a 5-4 lead. Kirby settled down and held the Squazez scoreless for the next 3 innings. Meanwhile the 'wings score 3 in the 7th and 4 in the 8th to put this one away. Final score 12-5 for your WS Champions Detroit Rightwings. MVP goes to Royce Lewis for his 483/516/690 slash line. 11 RBI's.1/11/25 update. Month 5 complete. All eligible players will be activated unless instructed otherwise.3/10/24 DMB Playoffs 2021 NL Synopsis Bridgekeepers v. Ice Climbers The Bridgekeepers came out strong in game 1 with a blowout 10-2. Kyle Freeland didn’t make it out of the 2nd inning as Kris Bryant’s leadoff bomb set the tone for a consistent onslaught. Will Myers went 3-for-4 with a homer for the Climbers in game two and Will Contreras singled in a game tying run in the ninth off Joe Kelly in a Game 2 thriller. The Bridgekeepers dashed the visitors’ rally hopes however when Dylan Floro surrendered a pinch-hit RBI single to Pete Alonso to walk it off. Game 3 switched venue to Busch Stadium, and the Bridgekeepers set an early tone when Pete Alonso’s solo shot followed an Ozzie Albies three run bomb off Tyler Anderson en route to the 8-0 rout. Kris Bryant went 4-for-5 with a SB in the contest, falling only a double shy of the cycle. A first-inning Goldschmidt double followed by an Arenado RBI single in the first raised hopes for the Ice Climber faithful in game 4, but just like their St. Louis counterparts those two players could not carry the team alone. Charlie Morton hurled 7 innings of 3-hit ball, but the Bridgekeepers took a lead in the 8th when Harrison Bader notched an RBI double off Jose Alvarado. Joe Kelly was tasked with completing the sweep but blew the decisive save when Jean Segura’s third hit of the contest plated Brandon Crawford in the bottom of the ninth. In the eleventh, Bryan De La Cruz singled and was driven in on a Harrison Bader double for a 3-2 lead, which Drew Smith held to ultimately sweep the Climbers. Immediately after the contest, the disgusted Reykjavik squad owner sold the team to the son of the Bridgekeepers’ owner! Homes v. Langurs The Homes outlasted the Langurs in a 10-inning thriller game one, scoring the decisive run after a Jesus Aguilar error led to Brandon Nimmo’s RBI single off Edwin Diaz. They looked to continue that success with a 2-run first inning in game 2 when Corey Seager’s double plated Nimmo and Cronenworth. They managed only two more hits in the game, though not for lack of trying with multiple pinch-hitters being inserted. The Langurs’ Adam Duvall hit two solo shots including the game winner in the top of the ninth, as this time Diaz secured the save to gain the split. Game 3 saw the Homes jump to a 3-0 lead in the third highlighted by Corey Seager’s 2-run double off Clayton Kershaw. Brandon Woodruff pitched a gem, but tried to come back out in the 8th and after a walk and a single, Josh Hader was brought in for the two inning save. Jesus Sanchez singled in Marte and Tyler O’Neill sacrificed in the tying run as Hader blew the save. Edwin Diaz pitched a perfect ninth and tenth before Tejay Antone served up a walk-off 2 run bomb to Jesus Sanchez for the Langurs’ 2-1 series lead. Sanchez followed up in game 4 with the GWRBI, and Adam Duvall continued his HR barrage against Douglas-owned franchises while Kyle Gibson cruised through 7 innings of two-hit ball for a 3-0 victory and 3-1 series advantage. The Homes hoped a return to Wrigley would reverse their fortunes, and they jumped out to a 2-0 advantage in game 5 on Tyler Stephenson’s 2-run single. Joe Musgrove pitched out of the jam, and the Langurs managed to tie the contest in the 7th when an RBI double by Jesus Aguilar led to him later scoring on a Zach Wheeler wild pitch. With two outs in the 8th and Trea Turner standing on first, Jesus Sanchez (the hero of games 3 and 4) strode to the plate. Wheeler chose to challenge the slugger and Sanchez made him pay for the disrespect, depositing the Wheeler offering into the bleachers for a 2-run lead. Edwin Diaz came on for the ninth and made quick work of Francisco Lindor and Edmundo Sosa, but then walked pinch hitter Wilmer Flores and Ketel Marte to bring potential game winning run Brandon Nimmo up to bat. With the crowd on its feet, Nimmo skied one into right field that was easily secured by Adam Duvall to take the series 4-1. Bridgekeepers v. Langurs Quality Starts from Trevor Bauer and Jack Flaherty led to a 2-2- tie between the Bridgekeepers and Langurs in Game one of the NLCS. Solo shots from Riley and McMahon were the only blemishes for Bauer among 12 K’s. The monkeys took a one-run lead in the 10th when Starling Marte sacrificed home “ghost runner” Gavin Lux. In the bottom of the tenth, AJ Pollock knocked in JT Realmuto to tie it off Edwin Diaz, and with the American Family Field crowd on its feet, an Ozzie Albies sac fly plated McMahon with the decisive run. The Langurs secured the road split with a strong outing by Clayton Kershaw, who outdueled Walker Buehler en route to a 7-1 victory, which was much closer than the final score due to Drew Smith’s ninth inning implosion. Switching to D.C., the Langurs jumped out to a 4-1 lead in support of Kyle Gibson in game three, as Justin Turner blasted a 2 run shot off Max Scherzer, and Jesus Sanchez managed two solo bombs of his own in the eventual 7-5 win. Albion evened the series in a game that featured no extra-base hits, but saw Jake Cousins plate the lead run in the 8th when he plunked Jesse Winker with the bases loaded. Bauer struck out nine in a 3-1 game 5 win in which Max Fried walked 4 and allowed 7 hits, including a Trea Turner homer. With the 100-win Bridgekeeers at the brink back in D.C., Jack Flaherty allowed a leadoff double to Starling Marte, who scored for a 1-0 lead via small ball. Albion took a 2-1 lead in the third on a 2-run blast by Kris Bryant off Clayton Kershaw. A Tyler O’Neill solo shot evened it, but Bryant again plated McMahon in with a two run bomb off Kershaw in the sixth, and after Story doubled and Soto singled him home Kershaw was chased down 5-2. Ozzie Albies reached on a fielders choice but his attempted thievery was thwarted by Buster Posey’s cannon. In the bottom of the sixth, Justin Turner was plunked by Flaherty, took second on a wild pitch and sacrificed to third by Posey. After a walk, Flaherty was done and Familia surrendered an RBI single to Marte to cut the deficit to 5-3. In the 7th former Bridgekeeper Tyler O’Neill once again victimized the team that drafted him by smacking a Drew Smith offering over the wall. Aguilar walked and Justin Turner doubled, but Smith managed to strand them to end the inning. Kris Bryant was ejected when he was called out on strikes to end the top of the 8th, and replaced in LF by Bryan De La Cruz. Drew Smith remained in the game in the 8th and struck out Lux, but a single by Marte was the last straw and Joe Kelly came in. Trea Turner singled Marte to third, and Jesus Sanchez gave one a ride to left that looked like it could put up a crooked number. The aforementioned De La Cruz made a great catch, however, and although Marte tagged for the tying run O’Neill could not create triple-magic and was retired on a 6-4 groundout. Austin Riley plated ghost runner AJ Pollock in the tenth, but this was matched by Posey scoring in the bottom half on a Lux sacrifice fly to De La Cruz. Devin Williams recorded 2 quick strikeouts in the top of the eleventh before walking Soto, but he induced Albies to ground out to first to end any threat. In the bottom of the 11th, Trea Turner was the ghost runner and Albion brought in Tim Hill to the mound. To the plate strode (you guessed it) Jesus Sanchez and he smacked a liner into right field that scored the speedy shortstop and snatched the pennant for the New Delhi Langurs. AL Synopsis Bombers v. Daze It took extra Innings in game one of this AL series with the visiting Daze plating three in the top of the 11th, highlighted by a double steal where Ohtani took second and the throw allowed for Matt Olson to get home, putting an exclamation point on the 7-4 victory. Gerrit Cole’s 113 pitch 7-inning outing in game 2 was wasted by the Daze’s anemic offense which managed only one run on a Stanton bomb while the Bombers plated 2 in a five-hit fourth inning highlighted by Marcus Semien’s RBI double. The most exciting game of the first round was Game three between these two in a see-saw battle between Ohtani and German. Jared Walsh smashed two 2-run bombs off Sho-time, and Marcus Semien followed with a solo blast chasing him in the sixth for the Bombers’ first lead at 6-4. Jorge Polanco’s 3-for-4 wasn’t enough to overcome it as the Bombers took the series lead. After falling behind 3-0, the Daze launched a seven-run onslaught against four Bombers’ pitchers in the sixth highlighted by Jorge Polanco’s homer. Polanco struck again with a second bomb in the seventh off Matt Barnes to even the series. Another thriller took place in game 5 in the Bronx, as the lead changed hands in each of the first three innings. Neither Gerrit Cole nor Lance Lynn could solve the opposing lineups, as neither made it out of the fourth inning. Homers by Matt Olson and Jorge Polanco led the charge for the Daze, supported by two hit performances by Yoan Moncada, Luis Arraez and Sho-time. Meanwhile, the Bombers’ Tim Anderson had three hits and Mark Canha blasted a 3-run shot of his own. But New York couldn’t solve the Daze bullpen squad of Wisler, Sandlin and Chafin and immediately surrendered home field advantage again. Back at Oriole Park, however, Shohei Ohtani was roughed up for six runs in 3.1 innings in a game six rout established by 3-run bombs from Anderson and Jared Walsh. A Brandon Lowe HR was the sole Daze highlight, and the taxed bullpen showed its wear surrendering 7 runs in the top of the ninth in the 14-hit assault en route to a 13-2 laugher. This set up Game 7 in the Bronx with Domingo German facing Tyler Glasnow. The Bombers’ Marcus Semien blasted a solo shot in the second, but Luis Arraez’s 2-run single took the lead in the top of the third. The Bombers answered back in the bottom half when Semien hit a two out single to plate Gurriel and Candelario chasing Glasnow after just 59 pitches. The game was knotted in the top of the fourth when, hitting from the left side, Yasmani Grandal hit a pop up into right field which carried 315 feet and qualified as a home run. With two out and two men on in the sixth, Jeimer Candelario shot one into right field on which Stanton took a poor route. This allowed both men to score, put Candelario on second and the Bombers took a 5-3 lead. Despite getting eight more men on base in the next three innings, the Daze could not break through and Jose Cisnero induced a ground out from Luis Arraez for the decisive series win. Rightwings v. Spider Monkeys Young Triston McKenzie got the nod to start for the ‘Wings in game one against grizzled vet Alex Cobb. McKenzie failed to defend home field as Jose Abreu’s three run bomb in the first was the primary blow needed in the 4-1 victory capped by Garret Whitlock’s three-inning save. Abreu victimized Chris Bassitt with a grand slam in the top of the first to support Cal Quantrill’s quality start and 8-2 road victory in Game 2 . Game 3 started promising for the Rightwings as Ramon Urias doubled off Dylan Cease and scored on a throwing error from Jose Ramirez for the early lead in the first, but the Spider Monkeys snatched the advantage in the bottom half on Nelson Cruz’ 2 run double. Urias’ first inning double was the only hit managed by the Rightwings in the contest, as Sewald and Chapman secured Cease’s gem and a 4-1 win to take a 3-0 series lead. Jameson Taillon was battered for seven hits on top of two walks and chased without recording an out in the fifth. Armed with a 4-1 lead, Zach Plesac’s Quality Start held the Wings to 4 hits. JD Martinez’ two run blast off Liam Hendriks in the eighth gave the visitors hope, but fueled by the Fenway Faithful the Aussie struck out Garver and Kiermaier in the ninth to secure the improbable sweep of the 119-win Detroit squad. Bombers v. Spider Monkeys The ALCS began with the Bombers, buoyed by their thrilling seven game series win, touched Syracuse ace Alex Cobb for two runs in the third and another in the fifth. Meanwhile, Danny Duffy scattered four walks and three hits over nearly eight shutout innings, and the Bombers blew up Tyler Alexander for five more runs in the eighth for an 8-0 blowout win. The Bombers onslaught continued against starter Cal Quantrill in game two, who lasted only 2.1 innings surrendering doubles to Canha, Kemp and Jared Walsh. The Bombers’ 4 run lead was cut in half in the fourth after singles from LeMahieu and Adames were followed by Nelson Cruz’ RBI double. Cruz also scored in the fifth when Salvador Perez smashed a go-ahead 2 run bomb off Lance Lynn. The Bombers tied it in the sixth on a Candelario solo shot, and there the score remained until the twelfth inning, when Jose Ramirez walked and stole second, and was knocked in by Cruz. Kendall Graveman pitched around two walks in the bottom of the 12th for the save and road split. Salvador Perez’ 2-run single in the fourth broke a 2-2 tie in game three, and Nelson Cruz added a three run blast off Jake Diekman in the eighth as the chimps cruised to a 7-2 win at Fenway. Jeimer Candelario homered in the first off Zach Plesac, but a 4-run third inning for the monkeys was highlighted by a triple from Nelson Cruz (!). After Tim Anderson drove in Canha in the sixth, Austin Meadows homered and Willy Adames drove in two more in the bottom half for a 7-4 victory and 3-1 series lead. Syracuse led off game 5 in the Bronx with back-to-back doubles by Laureano and Ramirez for a 1-0 lead, but Alex Cobb grazed Canha to lead off the third, and he tied it on a Walsh single. The Bombers took a 2-1 lead in the fifth after Tim Anderson doubled Canha home, and when Craig Kimbrel took the mound in the ninth victory seemed assured. Even after a walk and HBP to start the frame, a sac fly from Kirilloff brought Willy Adames to the plate. Adames singled to right to drive in the tying run, but Jared Walsh threw wildly allowing another run to score for a 3-2 lead by the Spider Monkeys. After Garrett Whitlock induced two groundouts, Mat Gamel singled and Oscar Mercado came in to pinch run. Attempting to steal second, Sean Murphy cut Mercado down to seal the win and the pennant for the upstart Syracuse squad! World Series Matty on Matty crime – so not sure anyone else cares but here’s the synopsis: Spider Monkeys 4, Langurs 3 in 10 innings. 1-1 game after 9. Marte singled home Lux and scored on sacrifice for 3-1 lead; Syracuse got a single from Mountcastle and back to back doubles from Adames and Ramirez for the win. Langurs 3, Spider Monkeys 1. Musgrove over Cease. GWRBI was a solo shot by . . . Jesus Sanchez. Langurs 3, Spider Monkeys 0. Starling Marte homered, as did Jesus Freaking Sanchez. Plesac pitched all 8 innings for Syracuse, but midseason acquisition Trevor Bauer pitched 8 innings of no hit ball scattering 5 walks, and Devin Williams came on to complete the combined no-hitter. Langurs 7, Spider Monkeys 3. Doubles by Marte and Trea Turner preceded an O’Neill homer in the first off Cobb for a 3 run lead. Syracuse cut it to 3-2 with double, single, single, walk and single which chased Kershaw. Treinen struck out LeMahieu and Kirilloff with the bases loaded. Adames error led to an unearned run in the 6th, and then New Delhi tacked on 3 runs in the 8th off Paul Sewald. Spider Monkeys 5, Langurs 4. Syracuse 2 run shot by Meadows in the first off Gibson, who recorded only one out in the second before a walk, single, walk and Adames 2-run double. Treinen relieved and Ramirez sacrifice fly led to Adames scoring before Ramirez was tagged out in a rundown. Langurs chipped away with a Jesus Sanchez RBI single in the third and a Trea Turner 3-run bomb in the 7th, but the rally fell short as Whitlock secured the 3-inning save for the defending World Series Champions and keep their hopes alive for a repeat. Langurs 7, Spider Monkeys 5. A first inning solo HR by Nelson Cruz was followed in the fourth by a 2-run HR by Mountcastle and solo shot by LeMahieu for a 4-1 Syracuse lead. But Dylan Cease lost control in the 5th with a one out walk, single, walk to load the bases and then a sacrifice by Marte plated Justin Turner. His “cousin” Trea then deposited a 3-run blast into the bullpen for a 5-4 Langur lead. Justin Turner himself later hit a two-run bomb over the Green Monster for a 7-4 advantage. Edwin Diaz pitched himself into trouble in the 9th, so Devin Williams came in and immediately balked Diaz’ baserunners to 2nd and 3rd. But Williams struck out Austin Meadows and induced a 5-3 groundout by Jose Abreu, and the New Delhi Langurs secured the first championship in franchise history on the road at Fenway Park.1/5/23 update. Playoff update 12/26/19 The Playoffs are complete and the Mobile Homes prevailed over the Alwayzynna Daze in 5 games to capture the LTM crown. Here's how it all broke down. In the AL, the Daze had the number one seed (having gone from worst to first) and faced the defending WS Champion Bombers in the opening round. The Daze did what they did all year and dominated the Bombers, winning the series 4 games to 1. The other bracket saw two perennial contenders, the Rightwings and the Spider Monkeys, square off in a best of 7 series. The Rightwings prevailed 4 games to 2. The Daze continued rolling in the championship round, besting the Rightwings 4 games to 1, with Gerrit Cole going 2-0 in the series. In the NL, the top seed Mobile Homes faced the Albion Bridgekeepers, topping them 4 games to 2.
